Five Paths to the Priesthood chronicles the very different journeys of five Dominican Friars to the moment of their ordination as priests of Jesus Christ and what this has meant to them in their new lives as servants of the people of God. I am happy to share with you that an anonymous benefactor with a special appreciation for our rising numbers of men in formation – we’re at 64 – and the real and substantial costs to pay for their formation ($48,000 per person/per year), has generously pledged $300,000 as a matching gift. This matching gift grant doubles gifts received for formation and education – doubling all gifts (and pledges) dollar-for-dollar up to $300,000. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the Foundation to raise $600,000, which would be a God-send. We are working very hard to meet this Matching Gift Challenge in a very short time-period. The deadline for raising these funds is December 31st. And we could use your help.
