19 Transitional Deacons in Formation

Say a prayer for the nineteen transitional deacons in formation for the Dominican Province of St. Joseph at the Dominican House of Studies.  Individual photos with names are found HERE. Eight of those friars are expected to be ordained to the priesthood of Jesus Christ on May 22, 2015 at St. Dominic’s Church in Washington, DC.  The announcement and individual photos of the ordinandi can be found HERE. The eleven deacons just ordained on March 14, 2015 will be the first friars in formation in a separate studentate of deacons which will begin in the Fall of 2015 at St. Dominic Priory in Washington DC. This is a new house of formation for the Dominican Province of St. Joseph to handle the over crowding at the Dominican House of Studies.
